When I first met Marci Weiner many years ago, I realized that she was a most unusual person.  We met when Marci was a governing member of the Crown Jewels, a social dining club.  My wife was also a member and recently moved to Los Angeles from New York City.  My wife did not know many people and Marci took her under her wing and soon became friends.

Marci had many talents.  She was a newspaper columnist and wrote columns on entertainment events.  Because of this she had access to concerts, plays and other kinds of events.  Marci was a generous person who was known for her lavish parties.

She had kind words for everyone.  She and her husband Fred had a wide circle of friends.  She will be missed by everyone, especially me.
